22nd January 2016 - Ian Thomson passes away
We are sad to report that Dr Ian Thomson a long standing member of the Ladykillers Hockey Club and the senior partner at Lechlade, recently died peacefully at home after a short but terminal illness. Our condolences and good wishes go to his wife Jane and his family and the practice.

"It is with extreme sadness that we announce the death of Dr Ian Thomson who died on Friday 22nd January at home. The thoughts of everyone in the surgery are with his family at this difficult time.
There is a book of condolence for patients at the reception desk. We are organising a collection for Cancer Research UK in memory of Dr Thomson. Please ask Reception for details
Ladykillers Hockey (Captain) :
Ian was Captain of the LKs for quite a time - taking over from Paul Svehlik in 1977 and handing over to Richard Dodds in 1985. Obviously, he also had many other hockey credentials beyond the LKs.
21 GB and 39 England Caps.
Indoor caps not confirmed we imagine 20+.

5th October 2010 - John Whitehead has passed away

It is with much sadness that I have to inform you that John Whitehead passed away on October 3rd following a massive heart attack.
It is hoped that his cremation will take place during the week commencing 15th October and details will be circulated as soon as possible.
John was one of the earliest members of the LK's and as our leading umpire has loyally supported the Club for more than 50 years.
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Margaret and his family at this difficult time.

2012 Ladykillers February Update
Firstly huge congrats to the GB Womens Team for beating Agrentina and winning Gold in the Visa Internationals at the London Olympic Park.
Secondly well done to GB Men for coming third - you gave World Champions - Australia a run for their money ! (3-3).
Reading will not be happening this year as we may now run the event "EVERY TWO YEARS"

It was agreed at the 2011 AGM that new member of Ladykillers must have done 4 things - a) have played b) have attended an LK dinner c) have been ratified at the AGM and d) paid their subscription.

Denys Shortt (Chairman) is pleased to announce that Gillette UK has agreed to sponsor the Ladykillers Hockey Club for 2011.
Funds will go towards the team shirts.
